Do you know this man??!!

The Freedom Programme examines the roles played by attitudes and beliefs on the actions of abusive men and the responses of victims and survivors. The aim is to help them to make sense of and understand what has happened to them, instead of the whole experience just feeling like a horrible mess. The Freedom Programme also describes in detail how children are affected by being exposed to this kind of abuse and very importantly how their lives are improved when the abuse is removed.

I am excited to announce that Sharon Bryan Consultancy is now a Community Interest Company!

After 22 years of working in the field of domestic abuse I have finally taken this next step of making my vocation official.  It has taken me a long time to feel confident enough to do this but 2020 has taught me many things!

We should never take life for granted!  2020 has been a very difficult year for all of us, everywhere in the world.  Many of us have lost loved ones and worried about our families and friends.  During lockdown, domestic abuse increased to alarming levels worldwide.  The United Nations described the worldwide increase of domestic abuse as a “shadow pandemic” alongside COVID-19.

In my day to day work I also saw a significant increase in women needing support and I was and remain busier than I have ever been.  Being a survivor of domestic abuse myself, I can empathise with the horror of being literally locked in with your abuser.  Now with restrictions slowly lifting we need more help, more resources and more support for these women.  The impact of all of this has given me the resolve to do more, which in turn has given me the confidence to launch  my Community Interest Company.

Please click here to be taken to my new donation page, where you can also read my mission and vision statements.

I believe that together, we can all make a difference.  If we all make a difference to just one woman, think how many women we will help?!

Your donations, how ever small, will make that difference and allow me to reach more women that need support, advice and understanding.

I invite you to join me on this journey and thank you in advance for your support.
